SMART Grids hydrophilic TEM grids serve a broad range of applications in materials science and biology. The hydrophilic surface enables reproducible and uniform dispersion of many different types of nanoparticles and biomolecules from aqueous solutions and minimizes drying effects. The hydrophilic TEM grids eliminate the need for glow discharge which simplifies the sample preparation and saves time. In addition, the hydrophilic surface of our C-SMART functionalized carbon TEM Grids improves the water layer uniformity for cryoEM. Hydrophilic TEM grids can be purchased with positive, negative and neutral surface charge to improve TEM sample preparation for nearly any material.
