LinkedON CarboxylateTM SMART Grids
LinkedON CarboxylateTM Kits provide users with everything necessary to covalently crosslink proteins and other biomolecules directly to the surface of SMART GridsTM through carboxyl groups on the biomolecule surface. Covalent attachment is made possible through a one-step process that uses BioPlus grids and a zero-length bifunctional, water-soluble, non-cleavable cross-linking reagent. In this system, the linker first reacts with carboxyl groups on the biomolecule or nanoparticle surface to produce an amine reactive intermediate. The grids are incubated in the solution immediately after mixing to promote amide formation and complete the covalent crosslinking
Proteins, including antibodies, generally have several carboxyls side chains that are available as targets for coupling. Also, carboxylate-functionalized nanoparticles can be tethered directly to the grid.
LinkedON CarboxylateTM Kits come complete with 10 BioPlus Grids, linker, sample tack strips to aid in sample preparation, premeasured buffer salts, and step-by-step coupling protocol.
Store all components at 4°C, protected from moisture.
