LinkedONTM Technology Overview
Nanoparticles are Useful...
LinkedONTM Technology Makes Them Powerful
LinkedONTM is Dune Sciences approach to the positioning and self-assembly of nanoscale building blocks into useful structures. What does this mean for our customers? Greater access to the unique properties of nanomaterials for the development of successful, next-generation nanoenabled products.
The advantages of LinkedONTM technology to our customers include:
• Positioning of nanomaterials onto diverse substrates with nanoscale resolution.
• Permanent or semi-permanent bonds between nanomaterials and diverse substrates.
• Amenable to wide-classes of nanomaterials and substrates.
• Use of self-assembly to maximize materials usage while reducing cost.
How does it work? Dune Sciences employs bifunctional chemical linkers, a sort of "molecular glue." One end of the linker bonds specifically to our customers nanomaterials, while the other end is specific to the target material:

Using LinkedONTM technology, Dune Sciences can tether nanomaterials to almost any surface, in one-, two- and even three-dimensions. Applications include electronics, optical applications, catalysis, bioactive surfaces, and printed circuits.
Our current products span LinkedON SilverTM, LinkedON GoldTM, LinkedON CopperTM and LinkedON AntimicrobialsTM or contact us to learn how LinkedONTM technology will benefit your next project.
