John M. Miller

Dr. Miller has extensive experience in technology management and in the development and commercialization of new nanomaterials and devices. His primary expertise is in the stored energy and energy conversion areas including Li ion batteries, fuel cells, and ultracapacitors. Prior to founding Dune Sciences, Dr. Miller served as Director of Fuel Cell Technology at World Energy Labs in San Francisco, CA. Prior to that he served as Technical Director for T/J Technologies, Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI where he was responsible for the development of new materials that are presently being used in commercial high rate Li ion batteries.
Janet M. Teshima

Ms. Teshima brings more than 20 years industry experience holding technical, business management and sales positions at companies ranging from universities to defense sub-contractors to capital equipment suppliers. Prior to working with Dune, Janet held a variety of positions at FEI Company, a leading, global manufacturer of ion and electron microscopes, including customer training, product development, business management and sales. As a business owner at FEI Company she managed the P&L for businesses between $20-100M. Prior to FEI, Janet spent several years working for JEOL. She is active in the Electronic Device Failure Analysis Society of ASM International.
James E. Hutchison

Dr. Hutchison is Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Materials Science Institute at the University of Oregon and is the primary inventor for the technology portfolio of Dune Sciences. He is a world-renowned leader in nanomaterials synthesis and the development of Green Chemistry. His research focuses on organic and organometallic chemistry; electrochemistry; and nanomaterials. He is the Director of the ONAMI Safer Nanomaterials and Nanomanufacturing Initiative. Dr. Hutchison has been on the faculty of the University of Oregon since 1994.
Daniel A. Vishny

Mr. Vishny brings to Dune more than 15 years of experience as an executive-level financial officer, including CFO of Spirit Leatherworks, LLC, a licensee of Nike and Tiger Woods belts and accessories. Dan has alsoserved as CEO/CFO of Breyers, LLC, a national chain of retail stores, from 1997-2006. He was honored with the Elijah Watts Sells Award for receiving one of the top ten scores on the nationwide 1988 CPA exam. Dan also volunteers as a mentor for the University of Oregon MBA New Venture Planning Program.
